If you pulled up to Dyckman Park for the very first time yesterday after seeing all the Men's Pro Championship highlights on social media... I am so sorry ๐ญ
We had a surprisingly weird night at the Red Carpet of Streetball as we roll toward the finish line of our High School playoffs. No DJ, no MC, and two teams forfeitedโwhich is practically unheard of around here.
When the dust settled, we ended up with just one game on the schedule, but it certainly delivered: #4 The Program vs. #5 Team Tracey.
๐ BOYS HS PLAYOFFS
#4 The Program vs. #5 Team Tracey
The Program and Team Tracey are two of the most consistent, highly respected programs in our tournament, and they gave us a fantastic first-round dogfight.
The first half was a back-and-forth battle, with The Program taking a narrow 31-28 edge into the break. Team Tracey immediately set the tone out of halftime, opening the second half on a 9-2 run to snatch back the lead.
The Program refused to go away, repeatedly trimming the deficit to a single possession down the stretch. Ultimately, they couldn't quite get over the hump as Team Tracey closed out the victory with timely stops and clutch free throws.
AJ Moody dropped a game-high 16 points to lead Team Tracey.
Josh Charlot (15 points) and Reese Nicol (12 points) provided huge scoring support in the win.
Todd Arrington paced The Program with 14 points.
With the victory, #5 Team Tracey advances to the second round for a heavyweight showdown against #1 seed Team Watson on Tuesday.
