🏀 Storytime with Miguel: Part 4

Let's talk Pros

Man, New York City really is a subtropical region now. Yesterday’s rainfall was crazy! 🌧️

Obviously, there weren’t any games so I got to thinking about what today’s post was going to be about. The previous night we saw Justin Champagnie of the Washington Wizards suit up with Ave Life and the week before that we saw Bones Hyland suit up with ICFMF. That’s already two more pros than we saw all of last year.

While this is a good sign, truth is, there has been a steady decline over the years of current NBA players suiting up in outdoor street ball tournaments. And this could be for a multitude of reasons; my guess is the bags are bigger now and no one wants to risk getting hurt. There’s also the social media aspect of it; if you have a bad game the whole world is seeing it. And lastly, this current generation of pro hoopers are just not used to playing outside anymore. They didn’t grow up doing it.

Nonetheless, this made me think about some of the most memorable performances of NBA players I’ve seen at Dyckman since I’ve been here.

Let’s get into it👇️
