🏀 Rens United & One Promise Improve to 3-0

Recapping our 14u and 16u Saturday action!

Pardon my lateness in your inbox, but we made it. Happy Sunday! Yesterday we had a total of 9 games in the park, back-to-back-to-back. Long day but I wouldn’t trade my weekends at Dyckman for the world, definitely appreciate them more than the headache of during the week 🤐 😂

Let’s get into the action 👇️

🏀 14U Recaps

  • Courtcred defeated SLT. Courtcred is really having a nice bounce back Summer. Last year they were getting beat up on, now they’re the ones doing the beating. Samuel Lartey and Todd Arrington led them in this runaway victory with 21 and 18 points, respectively.

  • One Promise defeated Yonkers Bulls. Similarly to Courtcred, One Promise took some bumps last year, but this year’s squad is out to a 3-0 record after a convincing win. Mahmoudou Bagayoko led them with a game-high 13 points.

  • Rens United defeated SLT. Rens also improved their record to 3-0 after a convincing win over SLT. Lucas Ippolito had a game-high ten points, including two threes for Rens United.

  • NYC Wizards defeated Yonkers Bulls. NYC Wizards got into the win column with a double digit victory. New addition Andre Harvey scored a game-high 17 points for the Wizards.

  •  Team Dyckman defeated We Got Next NJ. The shorthanded Jersey squad was overmatched from the opening tip. They only had one sub and were gassed by the second half. Nehemiah Traore led Dyckman with 10 points.

🏀 16U Recaps

  • Team Dyckman defeated NYC Wizards. The Wizards were a bit shorthanded and had some of their 14u squad play up. The young guys were no match for the bigger Team Dyckman. Kevon Dubois led Team Dyckman with a game-high 15 points.

  • Earn Your Leisure defeated Positive Energy. EYL remained undefeated while Positive Energy remained winless. Zion Watkins led the way with a game-high 13 points.

  • Uptown Elite defeated Team Tracey. On paper this was the game of the day but without their lead guard Josh Charlot, Team Tracey couldn’t match Uptown Elite. Myles Bertrand was lights out from three-point range, hitting 5 threes and finishing with a game-high 19 points.

  • Good NRGY defeated Jungle Athletics. Riding high off of an impressive victory over Uptown Elite last weekend, Good NRGY kept it going yesterday against Jungle Athletics. Baker Jimenez and Hector Sosa both had a team-high 9 points in the victory.

Tomorrow in The Dyckman Dispatch 🗞️ I’ll be dropping the Men’s College/Pro Power Rankings 2.0 We definitely gotta shake some things up in there 📈📉

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

-Miguel signing out, Peace ✌️
