Larry Jenkins has officially been named the 2026 Dyckman Basketball Tournament Boys’ High School Division Most Valuable Player! 🏆
It was a breakout summer for the 2028 wing out of New York City. Jenkins was undeniably the best player on the best team, carrying LPAC to an undefeated 4-0 regular season and clinching the #1 seed in their conference.
After playing a vital role on LPAC’s 16U championship squad last season, Jenkins elevated his game when stepping up a division. He set the tone early with a 17-point performance in the season opener against Team Gator and capped off the summer with a 13-point outing in a blowout win against eventual champs Road to Riches in the regular-season finale.
Poised for a big high school season at Archbishop Stepinac, Jenkins showcased a polished jumper and the versatility to operate as a point forward. While official stats don't track rebounds or blocks, Jenkins delivered plenty of both every time he hit the blacktop.
Currently rated as a 4-star recruit by ESPN, Jenkins holds offers from Wagner, Florida A&M, and Brown, with high-major program Oklahoma State dropping in to watch him workout just this week. Based on what we witnessed on the Red Carpet this summer, his stock is about to skyrocket!
